'FA Cup semi-final goal against Manchester United' Coventry MF steps on Premier League

Coventry City's Callum O'Hare (26) is receiving love calls from multiple Premier League clubs. Chances are high that he will make the Premier League stage from next season.

"O'Hare's contract with Coventry expires in June and he can transfer to free agency," England's "Football Insider" reported. Leicester City, Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Southampton are interested in recruiting O'Hare.

He continued, "It is not yet known who will win O'Hare's recruitment competition, but considering the interest of Leicester, Villa and West Ham, it is highly likely to advance to the Premier League. Southampton also secured a playoff berth by ranking fourth in the English Championship, and there is a possibility of returning to the Premier League next season."

O'Hare is an English attacking midfielder. He grew up in Villa Youth, where he received only limited opportunities in the first team. He made his league debut, but it was when Villa were in the English Championship at the time. After that, he left for Carlisle United and Coventry to move to Coventry completely.

He played ace for Coventry. He scored four goals and seven assists in 40 games in the 2019-20 season, three goals and eight assists in 48 games in the 2020-21 season, five goals and eight assists in 47 games in the 2021-22 season, three assists in 11 games (two long-term injuries) in the 2022-23 season, and 10 goals and four assists in 35 games in the 2023-24 season.

In this season's FA Cup, Coventry played a key role in its semi-final miracle. O'Hare performed well with one goal in the third round against Oxford United, two goals and one assist against Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round, and one goal against Manchester United in the semi-final. Notably, O'Hare, who took over Sims' pass at the 34th minute of the second half, fired a shot in front of the penalty box. The ball deflected off Aaron Wan-Bissaka's back and went into the net with a parabolic line. Coventry was 0-3 in the match on the day, but made it 3-3 to go all the way to the match, but failed to secure a ticket to the final.

O'Hare's last contract renewal was in 2022, and his contract expires this summer. He is also receiving the attention of Premier League clubs. From next season, he will play in the "dream stage" Premier League. 스포츠중계
