KBL's comeback after a year of overseas challenge

Lee Dae-sung will return to the KBL stage. The destination is Samsung in Seoul.

Samsung announced the recruitment of Lee Dae-sung through a press release on Monday. The deal was worth 600 million won (620,000 U.S. dollars) in two-year salary and 180 million won (122,000 dollars) in incentives.

Lee Dae-sung was at the center of controversy in the KBL FA market. He returned to the domestic stage after a year of playing in the Japanese B League.

Problems arose in the process of his return. When he entered the Japanese arena a year ago, Lee Dae-sung's team was the Daegu Korea Gas Corporation. The club released Lee Dae-sung unconditionally after hearing that he would continue his overseas activities for more than two years. As he said, if two years have passed, he will be over 35 years old and no compensation will be incurred.

However, Lee's overseas challenge lasted only one year. He applied for an FA contract with the KBL. The KGC reportedly made the proposal, but Lee's choice was Samsung.

The Korea Gas Corporation, which had the right to Lee Dae-sung, suffered a loss. If it was tied up by voluntary withdrawal, even if Lee Dae-sung returned after a year and exercised his FA rights, he could receive some compensation. He believed in Lee Dae-sung's pledge to "challenge for more than two years" and sent him abroad, but now he has come back as a boomerang.

Basketball fans also cannot look at him with a good eye. Some argue that even if a player wants to go abroad in the future, he could face opposition from clubs.

However, the investment will likely have a significant impact on Samsung's ability to strengthen its capacity. Lee Dae-sung is considered a resource that combines offense and defense. He also played for the Korean national team. He scored 13 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and a success rate of 34.2 percent in his KBL career. 토토

With Lee Dae-sung confirmed to join the Samsung Lions, Lee Hyun-joong's upcoming attempt at the U.S. G League is drawing attention. Lee added two emoticons to his Instagram account, sharing the news of Lee Dae-sung's joining the Samsung Lions. His face was covered with an index finger and his mouth was locked with a zipper. This is interpreted as an intention to cover up the noise over Lee's joining the Samsung Lions
